Chest Freezer Evaporators (Wrap Around Evaporators)
Bundy’s chest freezer evaporators, also known as wrap around evaporators, are designed for deep freezers and large chest freezers where even, efficient temperature control is critical. These evaporators use bent or formed tubing (typically electric welded steel, aluminium, or copper) to wrap around the interior surfaces of the freezer compartment. This extensive surface contact enables rapid and uniform cooling by absorbing heat from the stored goods and transferring it directly into the refrigerant. The system maintains consistent, low temperatures essential for food safety and product preservation, avoiding cold spots and ensuring uniform storage conditions.

CHEST FREEZER EVAPORATOR
Bundy’s line of chest-freezer evaporators includes both three dimensional serpentines as well as wrap around evaporators. Our wrap around evaporators incorporate “D” Shape Section tubing and gooseneck corners to maximise surface contact. Evaporators can be supplied as stand-alone components or assembled with heat exchangers and accumulators as part of a fully tested system.
CHEST FREEZER CONDENSER
Bundy produces wrap around skin condensers as well as wire-on-tube static and forced draft condensers for chest-freezer applications. Wrap around condensers can be supplied in plain or coated steel tubing to meet a variety of corrosion resistance specifications.
