Roll Bond Evaporators
Bundy’s roll bond evaporators are advanced heat exchange components engineered for direct cooling refrigeration systems, combining high performance, exceptional design flexibility, and superior durability. Each evaporator consists of two aluminium sheets welded together, between which a channel system is formed to allow refrigerant to flow and absorb heat directly from the cabinet interior, ensuring fast and uniform cooling.
The roll-bond manufacturing process includes inflating, stamping, welding, and painting operations, which allows Bundy engineers to deliver evaporators in a range of shapes and mounting styles as well as off the shelf and custom designs tailored for specific appliance configurations. Their lightweight aluminium construction and efficient thermal conductivity deliver outstanding heat transfer characteristics, reducing energy consumption and supporting high efficiency ratings in domestic appliances and commercial systems. The design is compatible with modern refrigerants, including R134a and R600.
Roll bond evaporators are widely used in domestic refrigerators, chest freezers, refrigerated display cases, and increasingly in commercial coolers, battery cooling for electric vehicles, medical applications, and renewable energy heat exchangers. The large integrated heat transfer surface improves cooling response, temperature stability, and energy savings, while the seamless aluminium panels provide robust corrosion resistance, long service life, and full recyclability.
Bundy’s roll bond evaporators are available in varying finishes and with aluminium, copper-aluminium, or integrated heat exchanger connectors, meeting stringent performance and installation requirements across multiple industries.

Whether your product requires a simple flat panel or a multi-shaped evaporator, our engineers will work closely with you to develop the best solution. The process and products are compatible to R134a and R600. They can be supplied in four different manufacturing stages: inflated, stamped, welded, painted (with connectors – aluminium, copper aluminium or heat exchanger).
The integration of the primary and secondary plates, together with the aluminium thermal conductivity, supply excellent thermal transfer characteristics and can be offered in different finishes.
