Static Condensers
Bundy’s static condensers are designed for natural-draft cooling across domestic and commercial refrigeration appliances. These condensers include wire-on-tube and plate-on-tube models, assembled from electric welded steel tubing and low carbon steel wire, with a durable e-coat or epoxy/polyester finish for improved corrosion resistance. Static condensers work by dissipating heat from the refrigerant into the surrounding air through convection, with no need for active airflow or fans.
Static condenser technology is widely used in single-door refrigerators, chest freezers, undercounter fridges, and “clean-back” units, delivering silent operation and dependable performance. Bundy’s bespoke production offers a variety of tube and wire diameters, pitches, and fixation options to meet specific installation requirements and optimise cooling capacity. Static condensers are energy-efficient and low maintenance, making them well-suited for moderate-load household refrigerators and compact commercial refrigeration – from small retail to catering appliances.

WOT (Wire-on-Tube) Condensers
Bundy’s wire-on-tube condensers are crucial components in refrigeration systems, designed to maximise heat transfer efficiency as the refrigerant moves from a gaseous to liquid state. Wire-on-tube condensers consist of metal tubes coiled or arranged in parallel, with thin wires (typically steel, copper or aluminium) welded perpendicularly onto the tubes. This increases the surface area, dramatically improving heat dissipation. The serpentine or two-dimensional tube arrangement is secured to the appliance’s back wall, exposed to ambient air for maximum cooling. This expels heat from the refrigerant circulating inside the tubes to the surrounding air, allowing the refrigeration cycle to operate effectively and maintain cool temperatures.
Wire-on-tube condensers are standard in domestic fridge and freezer units (visible at the back), chest freezers, and also in commercial equipment including cooling cabinets and display cases in supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and catering facilities.
POT (Plate-on-Tube) Condensers
Bundy’s plate-on-tube condensers are heat exchange components in refrigeration systems, engineered to maximise heat transfer as the refrigerant transitions from a gas to a liquid state. Plate-on-tube condensers consist of metal tubes, typically steel or copper, securely bonded to or passing through flat metal plates (often made of steel or aluminium). The plate’s broad surface area significantly increases contact with ambient air, which accelerates heat dissipation. The combined assembly is usually mounted at the rear or base of the appliance, where it expels heat from the refrigerant, supporting a consistent and efficient refrigeration cycle.
Plate-on-tube condensers are manufactured for domestic fridge freezers where compact, efficient cooling is needed and are commonly found in commercial equipment such as chest freezers, upright display cabinets, and beverage coolers across supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, catering facilities, and food retail environments.
