Bundy Refrigeration, a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative heat transfer and fluid carrying cooling system components for the refrigeration and household appliance industry, has appointed Wenceslau Carvalho as vice president, Americas.

Mr Carvalho, from Cunha-SP in Brazil, who has headed up Bundy’s Brazil operations for nine years, has been tasked with expanding the business into North America as well as growing the company’s Latin America sales. The qualified engineer, who has an MBA in Business Management, began his career with Alcan Refrigeration, which was acquired by Bundy in 1996. His promotion comes as he celebrates 28 years with the company.

Bundy, which has manufacturing sites in Germany, Brazil, Hungary, Italy and Turkey, employs over 1200 people, with over 450 personnel based across the company’s three locations in Brazil.

Bundy Brazil has two plants plus a satellite operation in Maracanau. Bundy Pinda develops roll bond evaporators, no-frost evaporators and heat exchanger components Bundy Curitiba produces plain and zinc coated tubes. Its portfolio includes door warmers, wrap-around evaporators, helical, forced draft and skin condensers.
