Bundy Refrigeration is exhibiting at The Battery Show Europe, the largest and most comprehensive advanced battery technology event, in Stuttgart on 3-5 June.
The event includes the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo, the only trade show and conference exclusively dedicated to advanced battery and electric and hybrid vehicle drivetrain.
Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to attend from across the globe as the event brings together industry professionals and over 1100 leading suppliers.
Bundy will be showcasing its roll bond heat exchanger for cooling EV battery packs used on buses, cars, planes, and boats.
The roll bond heat exchangers offer excellent and efficient thermal performance while flexibility in circuit design means they can be shaped to fit a variety of applications.
Roll-Bond™ is engineered from two lightweight aluminium sheets, welded together through a hot lamination process and inflated at high pressure. The heat exchangers are fixed directly on to the battery sets with thermal paste used between them to increase contact and cooling efficiency.
Aluminium tube is formed in 3xxx and 1xxx series, and machined connectors (6351) in Al 6xxx series. Manufacturers have the option of input and output connections either welded perpendicularly on the flat side of the plate or welded on the side.
Ethylene glycol or refrigerant gases can be used as a cooling liquid.
Bundy produces its heat exchangers in compliance with current standards, guaranteed through rigorous quality tests in the laboratory. Its expertise in cooling systems has been honed in the refrigeration industry for over sixty years and is now being applied to electric vehicles, offering manufacturers energy-efficiency, superior cooling and longer battery life.
Visitors to The Battery Show can discover more about Bundy and its roll bond heat exchangers by visiting booth 8-C49.
